Rutland Young Professionals and Castleton University’s Master of Business Administration program are co-hosting Managing in the Pandemic, a virtual panel discussion focused on professional development during COVID-19.
The COVID-19 pandemic has changed the way we do business, including how we manage ourselves and others. As the COVID-19 pandemic progressed, organizations across the country had to balance changes in how they operate. Employees have had to manage changes in their work environment due to COVID-19 guidelines.
At the height of the pandemic, 70,000 Vermonters had filed unemployment claims after losing their job or having their hours cut. Many Vermonters used this opportunity to pivot – whether that meant starting their own business or beginning a new career. Countless others have had to manage changes in their work environment due to COVID-19 guidelines.
In this panel discussion, we’ll hear from four Rutland Young Professionals who have been working through the pandemic. They will discuss their personal experiences in their professional lives during COVID-19, how the pandemic has impacted their business, and will offer advice for other young professionals wondering what’s next for them. There will also be a question and answer period.
Panelists include:
Candice Britt, Administrative Assistant at Community College of Vermont
Courtney DiFiore, Public Relations and Social Media Manager at Killington and Pico Ski Resorts
Jake Pluta, Principal Broker at White Cap Realty
Fran Sun, COVID Vaccine Clinic Supervisor at Rutland Regional Medical Center and Owner of Shark and Sparrow
This event will be moderated by Dr. Jacob Park, Associate Professor in Castleton University’s College of Business.
