RYP Board Member Application 2024 - 2025

Thank you for your interest in applying to the board of the Rutland Young Professionals. Individuals on our board range in skills and experience, which help fill the needs of running this volunteer-based organization.

This year the Nominating Committee will nominate a slate of board members and officers to be proposed to the RYP Membership for approval in June. Board terms begin effective July 1.

The following positions are available to apply for, based on the term limits of positions currently held by Board members.

Board positions

  • Board Officer Positions:

    • President-Elect (2 Year Term + 1 Year Past President)

    • Secretary (2 Year Term)

    • Treasurer (2 Year Term)

  • Member-At-Large Positions:

    • 3-5 Positions (2 Year Term)

Requirements

  • You are a member of the Rutland Young Professionals.

  • You live or work in Rutland County.

  • You’ve expressed interest in our work by attending our events or by volunteering with one of our committees.

Expectations

  • Attend monthly board meetings prepared and equipped for productive conversation.

  • Serve as chair or as a member of an RYP committee, attending monthly committee meetings and completing assigned tasks.

  • Serve as a knowledgeable RYP representative in the community and promote RYP membership.

  • Be a visible participant at our events (as often as you can), helping to prepare when necessary and network with our members, potential members, sponsors, and donors

  • We currently are an All Volunteer ‘Working Board’ so be prepared to work! Estimated monthly commitment: 12 hours, plus any leadership tasks
